We Believe...
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and our infallible guide for living. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21)
- God is One, manifested in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-equal. (Phil 2:6)
- Man is a created being made in the image of God. Through Adam’s fall, sin entered the world. Salvation is God’s free gift of grace to mankind through faith in Jesus Christ and His shed blood. In dying for our sins, Jesus took our place, delivered us from the bondage and penalty of sin, and restored us back to God. (Rom 5:12-15; 3:10, 3:23; 1 John 3:8)
- The first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that leads to repentance, which leads to a confession of faith in Jesus Christ and produces the “new birth.” (2 Corinthians 5:17; I John 5:12; John 3:5)
- Water baptism is by immersion, and is for Believers only as a sign of commitment, obedience and identity with Christ. (Acts 8:36-38; Matt. 28:19; Romans 6:4; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12)
- The baptism in the Holy Spirit is promised to all believers and is initially evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit Himself gives utterance. (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8, 2:38-39; 19:1-7)
- Sanctification is a definite but progressive work of grace. (Heb. 12:14; I Thess. 5:23; 2 Peter 3:8; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14)
- Divine healing and health has been provided through the atonement made by Jesus Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. (Isaiah 53:4-5; I Peter 2:24; Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; Matt. 8:17; 2 Peter 1:2-4)
- Jesus will return for His Bride, and that those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be resurrected to live with the Lord forever. (Matthew 24:30-31; Revelation 20:12-15)
- Those who die in sin without accepting Jesus are eternally lost and will forever be separated from God. (Luke 16:19-31; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20, 20:12-15)
