LEadership

Senior Pastors

Pastors Zane & Rachel Bousum started to attend SOLC in 2002. They served in the children’s ministry and as PowerSurge Youth Pastors for ages 6th – 8th grade. Pastor Zane teaches and preaches an anointed Word each week, and Pastor Rachel oversees the Nursery and Toddler ministries and is the executive administrator of the church.

Both have secondary education degrees from Marian University in Indianapolis. Pastor Zane taught math for 5 years and Pastor Rachel taught science for 9 years at Pike High School. They have been married since 2003 and currently have three children, Josiah, Audrey, and Michaela. In college they led Bible studies, were resident assistants and competed in collegiate athletics. Pastor Zane was a three time captain of the cross country team and Rachel played tennis for three years.

Pastors Zane and Rachel knew that the Lord had called them to assist Pastors Ed and Beth in building a great church and teaching victorious living through faith. They have a passion for seeing lives transformed by believing the Word of God.

Both are now senior pastors at Spirit of Life Church and are furthering the work with power and excellence as God continues to direct them by His Holy Spirit.

Pastors Zane and Rachel are licensed and ordained by the International Convention of Faith Ministries (ICFM) based in Texas. Pastor Zane is also a District Director for ICFM.

Pastors Emeritus

Pastors Emeritus Ed and Beth Barnes were in ministry for eighteen years in 1994 before they began SOLC. During that first eighteen years, the Barnes ministered in Russia, South Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean and throughout the USA. They ministered in Russia before and during the demise of the Soviet Union. They were among the first to be involved in street witnessing in Moscow and crusade meetings. In 1993, the Lord began to change the direction of Ed and Beth’s ministry toward pastoring. He led them to Indianapolis to begin and pastor a Word of Faith church on the Westside of Indianapolis. The Lord told them to build a great church and to teach Victorious Living Through Faith.

On Easter morning, April 3, 1994, Spirit of Life Church had its first service in a hotel with two people in attendance. From that humble beginning, the Lord has given SOLC a loving and enthusiastic congregation and beautiful facility on Raceway Road.

Both are licensed and ordained by the International Convention of Faith Ministries (ICFM) based in Texas.

Drop your kiddos off in a fun atmosphere that has relevant teaching for every age.
